Amazing Autumn day teaching free urban sketching sessions at Dorothea Dix Park with Artspace and the City of Raleigh. Fantastic group of awesome sketchers. Such an amazing location full of stories and history. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Special thanks to the amazing Angela Lombardi Zappala for setting this up and collaborating. And thanks to Pete Sack for coming through as the hero of the day. $(@TT

Had the incredible experience of teaching an urban sketching workshop at the AIA Southeastern conference with Frank Harmon and Kip Bradley in Savannah, GA. From sketching in a night time lightning storm, sketching on a morning ferry, sketching steam punk, sketching on top of a building, to sketching in a graveyard. Special thanks to Kip Bradley for helping us out and giving us amazing Savannah knowledge and hospitality. $(@TT

A fantastic night at the Monster Drawing rally at the North Carolina Museum of Art. It was such an honor to have been asked to draw for this event, and to have so many talented friends participating around me as well. A sold out event of 900 people watching artists draw in three one hour shifts with the drawings all being immediately available for sale for $50 dollars. They also filmed me as I drew. I decided to go with my Octopus character from my animation "Baron". A Monster of a good time. $(@TT

Unbelievable experience presenting and leading an urban sketching workshop at the National AIA convention in Philadelphia to architects and creative designers from around the world. Had the pleasure of meeting and leading sketchers from Disney, St. Louis, Albany, Beijing, China, Libya, Denver, D.C., San Francisco, Seattle, etc. Such an honor to pass the phonon of urban sketching to spread around the world. Got a bit emotional when Peter Bohlin (http://bcj.com) pulled me aside right after my presentation and told me I was a "special spirit". Thank you Frank Harmon for having faith in me and giving me the opportunity. You are one who "sends the elevator down for the younger ones." Thank you Luis E. Aparicio and Briseida M. Fernandez-Agosto for leading the sketchers as well and providing me with incredible warmth and inspiration in your beautiful city. The Dominican symposium ripples are making waves.
