So great to have one of my most talented former students surprise me with a visit today. So proud of her and all she has done and is currently doing. Thank you for reminding me how transformative teaching can be. Mad love. $(@TT

A fantastic off the grid, solo hiking and sketching trip to the Peaks of Otter, VA. Hiked Sharp top and stood on the shoulders of giants at the top with incredible panoramic views. Hiked to Johnston farm as well, gotta say southwest Virginia is incredibly beautiful and the Blue Ridge mountains always move me.

Urban sketching adventure with my son
Great day urban sketching in Raleigh's warehouse district with my son. Days like these will always stay with me. He is a true urban sketcher, even drawing directly in the dirt with a piece of rail yard wood. A tasty double expresso was a perfect way to top of the day. $(@TT
